About Me:
“I am awake”
“Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, no matter who said it, no matter I said it, unless it agrees with your own reasons and your own common sense.”
“If you knew what I know about the power of giving, you'll not let one meal pass without sharing it in some way. Thousands of lights can be lit from a single candle and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.”
“Look within, be still, free from fear and attachment, know the sweet joy of living in the way.”
“There is nothing more dreadful than the habit of doubt, doubt seperates people, it is the poison that disintegrates friendships and breaks up positive relations, it is the torn that irritates and hurts, it is a sword that kills.”
“The tongue is like sharp knife kills without drawing blood, words have the power to both destroy and heal, the words of both true and kind they can change our world.”
“Do not be jealous of the good qualities of others, but out of admiration, adopt them for yourself.”
~BUDDHA
Namaste, I am Assaji. My early days were spent mostly in Buddhist monasteries learning the daily pujas, meditation and the classical languages of Pali and Sanskrit . I also studied Information Technology for a while. To cut the story short, while walking several years on this material-spiritual-complex path, I completed my Bachelor Degree with first class honours in Buddhist Philosophy (2008, Thailand). I am currently a Masters student at SOAS, University of London, studying Indian Buddhism in combination with Music and Film.
Education, as I feel, is a powerful tool if we want to change the world.
