Re Advice: hey Assaji..this is the first thing that popped into my head regarding your situation.
This has worked for me many times as long as I am not attached to the outcome.
Get a piece of paper and write on it what you want to experience as if it is already happening..For example you could write: I am enjoying my time studying here at the University of London. Imagine how you would be feeling as if this was already manifested. See yourself sitting as you are in your photo except now you are sitting in a room half way around the world. Imagine your excitement at having achieved your dream…really feel it…and then let it go.
Wishing you love always,
Christos

Mom (HummingBird), I hope as well people bless this blog with insightfulness and assistance. Thank you for being a part of this journey.

Samme, thank you for reaching out, one of these scholarships from the link you have given I have applied and looking forward to hearing from them soon.  The others are either not related to my studies or their deadlines are now exhaused. But lets see what we hear from the one I have applied.

Ohmsmom, your best wishes are important to me in this journey, so thank you for the prays. As Mom said “try knocking every door and at least one will open for you”. So I will keep trying and trying, until I am there, for the highest good (and education) as you have said.

Christos, your advice is like the secret of all success. So thank you, I will keep in mind and try to follow what you have said.

For the sake of all my well-wishers at Gaia, I am pleased to inform that a sum of $3,000 USD has been already awarded to me by Khyentse Foundation to assist with my studies in London. But as you can see, the full amount required for studies per year is:

Tuition fees: £11,460
Residence (estimation): £10,500 to £13,500

The $3000 (Khyentse Foundation scholarship) meets only a quarter of the required tuition fees. I am still trying hard to find the outstanding fees. The latest email came from Dr Tadeusz Skorupski, who convenes the MA programme in Buddhist studies at SOAS, University of London, informing me that the funds they provide have been exhausted and that my only option is to approach business companies.

I hope more Gaians will come forward and contribute to my endeavors. I would also highly appreciate if you can refer me to others who may be able to assist as well. Any contribution will be helpful. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I suggest for you Assaji to find one of those websites where you can set up an account and people can transfer money to you and that you can withdraw from.  Find the best and legitimate one.  Some people might want to contribute money to you and this is a good thing and convenient one for you.  Good luck to you,
Samme

Samme, do you mean like a bank account (like Bangkok Bank)? If it is so, I have one already that people can wire money and I can withdraw from. But if you mean something else like CakeFinancial.com , Zecco.com, TradeKing.com or whatever, I don't have much knowledge on these. May be you can further advise me, if you think it would be a good thing and convenient. Since some people do not know me personally I can provide details of the University so any contributions could be made directly to the University. Thanks for your concern.

Well I think the Bangkok Bank will not serve you well when you go to London.  Or are you in London now?  What I am trying to say, for myself, is that, I would like to give you some small amount occasionally.  I cannot give a huge amount that will cover your tuition but what can I give you can be use for your incidentals.  The bank in Bangkok might be too hard for you to access, I don't know.  Just set up something easy and convenient for you and also for us.  When you have, please put that in your profile page, all the info on how others can contribute to you also.  I am thinking of incidentals, but when others have contributed this might cover the entire tuition.  As far as CakeFinancial, Zecco, TradeKing; it is up to you to screen them out.  I cannot recommend one but those are the idea.  If you do choose one of those then put that info as well in your profile page.
may buddha bless you (he will more and more),
samme

Samme, thank you so much! This is such a good idea -
Assaji son is currently in Thailand.
He has gone to Bangkok for a couple of days and asked me to watch his blog for him in his absence.
He will set up a workable account on his return
- if people know they can deposit smaller amounts into an account
they will feel more encouraged and be better able to assist

much love

Thank you Anna for your kindheartedness and watching out for Assaji.  We watch out for each other, that's what friends are for and that is the spirit of oneness.
Anyway what I would like to say is yes indeed, consider having an online account so that you get to know when you have new contributions in at once since you use computer.  Find which one you can incorporate to your bank and vice versa, an online account where you can link your bank account to your online money site.

Hello Samme and everyone, I have safely arrived Bangkok this morning and now I am staying with a friend. Glad to see all the comments. I just had a chat with mom (HummingBird) about setting up an online account and I am pasting it here for you to have an idea:

Anna: hello son!
how are you?

assaji: i m ok, i m now trying to find a website where i can create an online bank account

Anna: ok!
proactive

assaji: i got few ones

Anna: that's great

assaji: this is a list actually, where I can choose!

Anna: I've never done this
is it complicated?

assaji:
http://www.moneyextra.com/banking/studentaccounts.html?WT.svl=1

Anna: ok

assaji: no, it is not so complicated

Anna: that's a relief!

assaji: lol
http://www.lloydstsb.com/internet_banking.asp - this looks good

Anna: are these safe?

assaji: they say its safe and based in UK

Anna: ok.. is there a way of checking?

assaji: i will have to check more

Anna: yes.. no harm in checking
maybe ask your bank

assaji: yeah i can

Anna: also if you send Samme a mail he can probably advise
he seems to be familiar with online money exchanges

assaji: yes exactly

Anna: yes :)
well its good that you're taking these steps

assaji: check this out: http://www.personal.barclays.co.uk/BRC1/jsp/brccontrol?site=pfs&task=homefreegroup&value=12837

Anna: ok.. it seems like a way of banking online
there is a means of making online payments into a bank account
I think you need to look into this
where your details arent exposed

assaji: yeah

Anna: Gien may know something about it
Im sure Samme does too

assaji: yeah he might
yeah

Anna: one sees it online sometimes
where if you make a purchase
you fill in your detalis etc
but you dont see the banking details of the one you're buying from/depositing money to
so to get a good account opened with an international bank
then find the means of creating an online site for deposits
where your acc is safe

assaji: yeah that's good advise

Anna: and you dont have to give out your banking details to anyone
just a site address
Samme is good at web etc.. one can see from his profile page design
he'll know how to do this I am sure

assaji: site address like?

Anna: you will need a site where people can make deposits
I dont know if its possible to add something like this to myspace?
otherwise need to have a webpage
ask Samme
he may know of something else

assaji: yeah may be we can post this on the blog and he will suggest

Anna: yes.. good idea
you can even copy the text from this chat to him so he gets the idea of what we're looking at

assaji: yes that's good idea

Anna: ok

Assaji, it is a good thing that you are checking things out for yourself.  I do not mean to be blunt here but I will say to you to trust yourself.  You are an intelligent man and you can come up with a decision that is the best for you.  I have given you something to think about and now that you are looking into it, the decision will be yours.  I have faith in you.  What I can say is choose an institution that is solid, meaning that they have been around for a while and that they are not going away.  Have a separate account for your personal money and the account where you will be setting up for people to donate to you and that you wil be letting people know how to contribute to that fund by posting the information on your profile page, blog, other sites you are a member of such as Facebook.  Do not feel discouraged, you are just starting out on a new horizon.  A lot of doors will be open for you and these are good opportunities.  There is an idea that I will talk to Anna in an email.  You have a very good friend, mom, mentor, friendship with Anna.  You are lucky!
Anna, thank you for the kind words and for your kindheartedness.
love and blessings,
Samme

Samme, yes I have been looking into one solid institution that has been around for a while and not going away and I think I have found one. I will seperately email you on that for your confirmation.

Mom has forwarded me the email that you have sent her earlier and we think its a promising idea. We are still working on gathering and putting together information. She is kind of busy today (finishing a book, doing a yoga class and so on). So we shall further discuss it tomorrow, even though she actually emails me every now and then of ideas floating in her mind.

Blessings to her and Samme! May all the merits be with you.
